About La Fleur, Neena shared, “I enjoy creating magical worlds that take the viewer on a joyful roller coaster ride. By exaggerating the size and hues of my subject matter, I aim to draw attention to what is often overlooked and underappreciated. By incorporating mixed media in my work, I’m able to create a variety of textures, as well as add depth to the tones and lines in my paintings in hopes that the observer will stop and search for what more the painting has to offer beyond their initial first impression.

My newest work incorporates the simplicity of flower petals, my love of fashion, the iridescence of feathers, and all the wonders nature has to offer. I believe nature has a dark and a light side. By depicting flora and fauna in vibrant, uplifting hues, I aim to highlight nature’s glamour and grace. If I accomplish all that I attempt, the viewer will have paused and enjoyed the present moment while celebrating beauty that is often taken for granted all the while leaving feeling rejuvenated and optimistic.”
